Default Protecting your corrected headlights

I've searched the site, and have only found people using the Megs headlight protectant, wax, and clear coat (both rattle can and automotive)

Is there anything else? I want a long lasting product that will keep them looking as good as they do today after cleaning them up this weekend.

At what cost?

You can buy Cquartz/Opti Coat @ $60, or less. Not to mention, you'll have enough to coat your entire car...

$100 to pay someone to do it is the typical norm.

Thanks for the info guys. It's funny that all comments have come from TA owners and not one Camaro owner... I guess you guys have this experience with the fogs? ha ha ha

I saw this posted elsewhere. Not sure how good it works. You can always just clear coat them yourself.

I used rattle can clear on my truck, and wet sanded. Been looking good for six months now.

Thanks for all the replies. I think I'm going to try the automotive clear from Rustoleum and see how that lasts. I might revisit this post if they fade. TheGuz - that stuff looks interesting... I wonder if anyone has used it.

^^You might also want to look at Krylon fusion. Its specifically for plastics. Just another idea for you.

It might be designed for plastic but I doubt it will have the UV protection that's needed to keep them from turning yellow again.

From what I have been told by people smarter than me is that Opti coat doesn't have the UV protection needed for headlights but everyone seems to use it anyway.

There is Opti-lens out now that's marketed specifically for headlights and they say its good forever.

I'm suspect of OC not being good enough for head lights but have no scientific data to back that up. I question if they just found another way to make money buy having a "head light specific" coating. I mean hell that's how I would have played it.
