I dont mind the whole carbon fiber deal for parts, as long as its painted and you cant tell its carbon fiber =] I live in Cali aswell, and I have been seeing a large influx of the CF as of late. Pulled up to a Civic with the SS Carbon Fiber hood last nite, funniest thing ive ever seen in my life!

if there is one thing in my bible or carology, it is DO NOT PAINT CARBON FIBER HOODS. if you have one it gives the appearance of a fast car. see that is where we come in. you got to have a bad a** car to back that hood up. hondas cant do that, but guess what F-Body's can. lol i had one on my Grand Am, but my GA ran 12's so it backed it up. i would love to get one, gonna check out Rksport now.

Odd. All new Z06 Vettes come with carbon fiber hoods from the factory and I'm glad that they all come painted. Believe me, no one likes carbon fiber more than me... but it kind of looks ricey on a hood for an f-body.

You have to paint it. The reason ricers leave them unpainted is too show off that they have a CF hood. Are you really in the business of showing off? Besides will a CF hood really make your car that much faster to justify spending that much money for it?
