5th gen shifter into a 4th gen?
I searched but couldnt come up with anything..
Will a 5th gen Auto shifter **** fit on the 4th gen shifter??
Or is it completely different..If it is, I do have a Trailblazer SS shifter in the basement I could use.

Looks like in theory it would work... hard to say with out actually getting in the guts of one though. Intresting concept because they make some really cool aftermarket shifters for the auto, especially Hurst. I know the basic goal is you want something that will push down the detent rod inside the shifter, dosent take much pressure just needs a downward motion. The real question would be rather or not it would fit on the stick without a whole lot of modification. Im assuming if anything its probably bigger which would be a good thing. You can always make an adapter. Ill look into this a little more and let you know what I come up with.

Did a little research... from what I can see they work the same way our shifters do. It'd be hard to say for sure without actually measuring it but at this point i would almost say yes it should work. Im searching flea-bay now and if i can find one for 20-30 bucks ill be happy to be the guinea pig.

prices on them are a little saltier than id hoped. I was able to find a video of them disassembling one to put an aftermarket hurst style on it. From what i can see its pretty simular how it works but not identical. Im almost gonna have to say it wouldnt work without some sort of modifications. Ill keep researching though. It appears from what i can see the bottom of the shifter is square and hollow rather than a single round hole like our shifters.
