Finally installed 6LE/Mcnord gauges, bezel, and LED's... Ordered these before I went to afghanistan, came back, and then 5 months later theyre finally on. Enjoy!!

Those gauges look good! I usually don't like custom gauges on f-bodies because people go *****-out with them and they end up not "fitting" the car if you know what I mean. Those look awesome though! Nice job

That looks really good. I still have to do mine. I got one that is plain, but that's because I like a simple clean look. I know most won't like it. I just need the time to get it one as mine is my daily. I love how yours looks.

Well thanks guys.
Not too hard to install, but I wouldn't say it's easy. The overlay itself can only be put on one way, since there are tabs there to line it up. The needles were slight trial and error. I took a picture with ignition on of the needles first, then when I was done, I set the gauges in the cubby without the lens, and turned the key and put them back where they were.
The hardest part was the abs and stainless bezel... They were seperate pieces and so I glued them together neatly, then 3m taped them to the overlay. Easier said than done...

Yeah thanks 6Le... The ONLY gripe I have, which others have mentioned before, is the other lights, like the service engine light, the check gauges, brake etc are super dim compared to what they used to be but it doesn't bother me that much.

I have only seen one person solve that issue with these overlays; he cut out the stock "other lights" off both sides of the original gauge overlays and used those portions with the new center sections (s) if you understand? other than that...run with them as they are.

Is it just me or are the SS and LSX illuminated at night? Also can you keep the stock color lighting? I like the red for the Trans Am and want to keep it that way.

I know what you are talking about, I have seen that post. I think it would only work with firebird bezels though. I recall seeing somewhere that 6LE/Mcnord offered these gauge overlays with a 'more transparent' option, but cannot find that webpage now. What I don't understand is why wouldn't they make them all more transparent? I mnow I am not the only one who cannot even see them during the day, and just barely at night. Is there some other disadvantage to making them more transparent? I thought at first it wouldn't bother me but I cannot see them at all during the day, and although it isn't the end of the world, it does bug me. Aside from that I really like them.
