Default Best tire shine/protectant

I need some help finding a good tire shine that will not only keep the tire walls looking great but also one that won't damage and deteriorate the tire over time. A friend was telling me to avoid products with silicates in them and suggested to find one that is water based. There are so many tire shines and dressings to choose from out there.....PLEASE HELP!!!

i'm a fan of meguiars endurashine and Venom Car Care Products 'Tire Venom' depending on what I want. I generally use the tire venom on my plasti dip and other rubber/plastic. It works great on tires, but I feel the endurashine tends to fling less on my tires with tons of little grooves and daily drivers that get washed weekly. I use the Venom on tires with minimal grooves.

I apply both by spraying on a rag and wiping on. I don't like shiny tires.

Another vote for Zaino Z-16. I think it gives the tires a nice black look without being too glossy.

I agree with the Adams. It doesn't overpower the tire/wheel and last for a few washes.

Car Pro PERL. Amazing stuff. Depending on how you dilute it, it has many uses.

I tried Armor All Extreme Tire Shine Gel and I've been pretty impressed. I figured it was gonna be some overpriced crap but it works great. It leaves a great subtle shine and lasts atleast 4 weeks that I know of. I don't know how protective it is but I know as far as appearance goes its great.

I have used stoner's more shine which works great. I applied it with an applicator to ensure even coverage. I am currently using Adam's super VRT which is also another great product. You can pick some up as part of their daily special right now.

This X2, it has become my go-to tire and trim product, you can dilute it to suit just about any look you want, plus a bottle of it will last you a very long time.

This stuff is my absolute favorite!

I sprayed this stuff on my tires ONCE back in March and my tires are STILL shiny, and this is after a few car washes too.

Our SuperVRT, as mentioned above, is one of our best sellers and is on sale right now in the Daily Special!

It's water-based, water-resistant, and contains SPF35 so it does a great job of protecting from the damaging effects of the sun. Dries to a nice, satin finish. If you're looking for a little more shine, apply a second thin coat and it will enhance the gloss a little.

As with any tire dressing, be sure to get any oxidation and old dressings off the surface before applying the fresh stuff. All Purpose Cleaner and a stiff bristled brush like our Tire Brush work perfectly here.

I use Zaino Z-16 also. I like that it is not greasy looking like a lot of tire shines are.... it's a nice satin finish and looks very natural.

I looked up the Zaino Z-16 on their site and it looks like a very good product and says it's not oily and greasy. It also says it protects against UV and helps prevent cracking and browning, but I'm still not sure if it's water based.
Nick@Adams; I like the sound of the SuperVRT, and has a lot of good reviews. Can I get it in Canada anywhere or order it online? And how long does the tire shine usually last? Thanks

I've been happy with this (also use it on the wheel wells):

Z-16 is water based.
