I'd like to know how he wired it up. I'm really bad when it comes to electrical stuff..

OK, so I finally bought me a set of these Navigator NV-362W lights and I did a little testing, for now I'm connected to the stock wiring and no HALO's as it was freaking cold this weekend, but I did some testing using the small 12 volt battery and push button that was built into the box (so people could see the HALO light up on the store shelf) and was able to determine a few things.

the 4 wires that run into the Halo ring are as follows (since LED's are polarized) if you look at the MAIN harness (not the short runs coming out of the lights) you have four colors as follows:

Red = ground to light Red
Blue = ground to light Blue
Yellow = + power to the LED's
Green = ground to light Green

not sure how this would effect the lifespan of the Halo's but if you wanted it to be fixed as one of those 3 colors (instead of being controlled) by the switch (especially useful for those that don't want that switch mucking up there interior and have already wired the fogs to work off the factory switch) you could wire a positive power to the yellow wire and a negative wire to which of those 3 you want to light up from a circuit like the parking lights, it appears the other colors are created by the switch circuits varying ground to the 3 primary LED colors.

Personally I want white but can't figure out a way to make it only that color .

All those LEDs on together should produce a white-ish light.

Also, are you sure the switchbox doesn't have resistors in it? If those colored wires going to the LEDs don't already have a resistor each heading to the LED, then applying the car's 12V will fry them.

there are resistors in the switch (they are the last things in the circuit before the wires come off the board) so yeah I guess you would need to add a resistor to keep them safe in the long run (hence why I mentioned being concerned with longevity), from my research white isn't just an even mix of them (which is where the switch comes in) and I did try that.

I've forgotten the resistor code, been to many years.
Red wire resistor is Red, Black, Brown and Gold
Green wire resistor is Orange, Orange, Brown and Gold
Blue wire resistor is (physically double the size) and Brown, Green, Brown and Gold.

I also wondered if it was possible have a single on/off switch instead of the color selector. But it was freezing cold, mounting brackets were a PITA to work on so I said fk it and ended up putting the switch next to my bass gain **** on the console, tucks away nicely IMO.

So how are you liking your Navigators so far?

I've had the Navigators for years. Not sure the exact model, but likely that's the one.
Only issue was the Red halos were never very bright, even at night.
Always wished there'd be a way to fix the color instead of having to cycle through all of them. I too ran into the issue with the color selector being too short (have it in my glove box) but ran a separate switch (power) to my ash tray so I could turn on the halos separately that way.

My fogs went out a year or so ago, and I could never track down as to why. I assume bulbs burnt out and took them out to replace, but never got around to doing it. So now I just use the halos at night. This thread makes me want to fix my fogs now! What kind of bulb is it?

Also, those white halo rings looks amazing. I want a set of those. What do they run?

I like them so far, but haven't had a chance to see how they do in fog yet, that will be the real test, I do sometimes wonder if I'm blinding other drivers (since these don't have that shield that the stock housings have) but haven't been flashed by anyone.

Definitely a step up from the rotted out factory pieces.

Clear halogen style that utilizes electricity.

Sorry. Couldnt help it. :-D

" Navigator Specialty Light Kit has a 55-watt halogen NV-H3KW bulb with metal housing. This innovative bulb includes a clear lens with white beam and also features a 7 color LED accent that either simulates a HID white beam or turns on their LED accent light. "

That's What I found in item description.....

This may be a bit off topic, but how in the hell did you access your fogs? I've been wanting to do this for a couple years but I keep putting it off.

Under the nose, behind/under the fog light, there is an access door.

Correct. Just jack up the front of the car and you'll see some bolts holding the door. Take those out and you can 'bend' the door down and access the fogs.
