Yes, there are many, many kits that will plug into the stock housings, but the stock housings are not meant to be used with HID bulbs and the light gets scattered and blinds oncoming traffic and is ILLEGAL everywhere, although most cops don't bother.[/QUOTE]

Yeah I'm familiar with the housings not being designed for use with hid bulbs. Just didn't want to modify my stock housings. Can a projector headlight housing be purchased for a decent price?

If you plan on doing a retrofit, you can buy a pair of Morimoto Mini H1 projectors for $120 and shrouds for $45 from theretrofitsource.com That would be all you would need to do the retrofit if you already have bulbs and ballasts.

Assuming you don't, because the bulbs are for hid projectors, you can buy the complete kit which comes with projectors, shrouds, ballasts, bulbs, wiring harness, and all the necessary hardware needed to mount the projectors to your headlights.

HID is NOT something where you wanna go as cheap as you can, spend the money and do it RIGHT the first time or DON'T do it.

ajzcamaro, you can get the Motimoto projectors listed above and do your own custom setup or buy the BLS projector housings which is exactly that: OEM-style Camaro headlights with Morimoto projectors in them. That price doesn't include an HID kit. You could also get the Morimoto HID kit for $150 or buy a different brand from ebay or elsewhere for $50.

So....
Custom: $200 - $400
BLS: $400 - $500

Also, the Morimoto projector isn't the only projector that you can fit in there, its just the easiest and has good output (stick with the Mini-H1 over the Mini-D2S until they come out with the better version of the Mini-D2S).

Plus if the price is a bit too much, The Retrofit Source sells a budget version of the Morimoto projector as well. Basically, the regular one is the "A" stock that is the best from the factory and the "Budget" version is the "B" stock that didn't make the cut to be classified as "A" stock but still decent. The cheaper ones you see for sale on ebay vary, typically "B" stock though.
