This is all I got at the moment. Just put them in, waiting on grille, and new turn signals.

Where are you all picking up the kits at and how much do they run? Hard to install?

JustAFooL, I just get my kits from ebay. A kit with bulbs and ballasts aren't too expensive, anywhere from like $30-70$. And they are easy to install, basically just plug and play.

Almost Good:
* Projectors, although poor performing H3 version (H3 is a fog bulb). HID in a H3 ebay projector rarely has good output.

Bad:
* Those blue and green bulbs put out less light than the stock halogens
* That color output is nearly useless for our eyes night vision
* That color combination attracts attention from police and inspection people

Also, $350 for the BLS setup is a great price. Barely more money than cheap ebay options and far superior in output and quality. Some good bare (no housing) OEM projectors sell for that price alone.

Stick with 4300K - 5000K for the best output and to not attract attention from police and inspection people.

No offense but you could sneak up on a import convention at night, go with 5300 and 4000k, it would look ten times better

haven't completed the install, but here are some starting/test shots.
specs:
Morimoto Mini d2s v2 (like the BLS kit)
Morimoto 5000k bulbs (like the BLS kit)
Zenex Ballasts from Amazon (40 bucks for the pair)

in the pics that is just one projectors light output. and for cheap ballast they work pretty good just remember when shopping for ballasts the tips in this video:

Get an eBay kit to learn about HID's. They are just over 30 bucks shipped and will work for an unspecified amount of time. You may have to replace a ballast every now and then.

Or, get a BLS kit and do it once.

My pic above has the Xentech kit.

Good stuff guys. I appreciate the feedback from everyone. I kinda had a feeling that people would not really like the 10k and green HIDs but like I said a couple times, I 100% agree that the light output is not even close to a 4300k HID. I Mainly choice these HIDs for the color and appearance.

I was pretty bummed when I found out that these projectors used an H3 bulb when other projectors on ebay like the Sonars used an H1 bulb.

I am going to look into buying some Morimoto Minis and do the retro fit myself. Probably look on ebay and see if anyone is selling them a little cheaper than on TheRetrofitSounce.

Besides the light output factor, I picked these projectors just because I think they look better than the sonars and the R8 style ones that are on ebay.

Of course I agree that BLS headlights are the best of the best and they look amazing. I want to go with the all blacked out option of black lenses and black shrouds because I think it looks great and stealthy. Also because I have a black hood and it matches pretty well.

Keep posting your guys feedback and pics of your cars! I would love to see some retrofit jobs you did or if you got some from BLS.

Z28RS, any night shots? Wanted to compared the cutoff. I know the sonars you have use an H1 bulb which puts out a wider light output.

Is there an HID kit that just plugs into the stock headlight assemblies? I don't want to convert to a projector bulb.

I learned my lesson from buying cheap HID's from ebay. I went through two ballast within a month. Never again

It is luck of the draw with ebay hid ballasts. I've never had a bulb burn out but I have had to replace one of the ballasts one time. It could have been because water got into it because I live in WA and it rains a lot, or just went bad on me. But other than that, I have had good luck with the ebay hid kits.

if you follow the tips in the video I posted earlier when selecting HID ballasts you'll have better luck or just cut out the middle man and buy the Morimoto Ballasts from theRetroFitSource and start with quality.

Yes, there are many, many kits that will plug into the stock housings, but the stock housings are not meant to be used with HID bulbs and the light gets scattered and blinds oncoming traffic and is ILLEGAL everywhere, although most cops don't bother.
