Post ZL1 Style 4th Gen Hood out

Who says the 4th Gen aftermarket is not alive?! Should look much better when painted... I'm not sure I would go for it unless I had something special under the hood like an LSA or supercharged LS1, but it's nice to see new options.

Yeah, we went down to test this hood out. We highly do NOT recommend it but to each their own.

We actually just bought a real ZL1 scoop to see what we can do with it. The above hood is crap though. Looks nothing like ZL1 and the underside is so hacky.

Again, we didn't make or design that. Just sell it and were the first to actually get real pics instead of the photoshopped pics so you guys could see what you're actually buying...

Just curious, F-body world sells a ZL-1 hood also, as well as a rear bumper. are they the same ones you guys sell or are they using a different manufacturer?

All the same. I'll tell you right now anytime you read "duraflex" it is garbage. We had to FIGHT them to keep our quality control "acceptable" until we finally moved on to RK Sport for private labeling.

that is a photoshop, which is clearly not a good representation, as it looks nothing like the real world pics taken when 6LE test fitted the hood, as in the pic in the first post. If it looks like it did in that photoshop I think it'd be a great option for these cars.

the production piece would be a lot cleaner if the cowl did not extend to the front of the hood, and instead rose out of the hood more gradually as it is in the photoshop. Probably look a little better about an inch shorter as well, like a 2-2.5" cowl similar in height to a harwood

The Photoshop pics are an actual 5th gen ZL1 hood scoop blended into the 4th gen hood. Reality on the other hand is frighting.

Couldn't resist
