Billet Tensioner and Idler pulley.
Steve posted pictures of these a few weeks ago and I finally got them installed today. The company was a real PITA to work with. First they did not send all of the pullies we ordered, then for forgot to send the washers that are needed as spacers so that they will not hit the mounts. Also I had to get a new belt to work with the tensioner because it is larger then the stock one. And now it looks like I need to get some chrome bolts to make them look right. But here they are.
Tensioner
Hard to see but the idler is down there

Looks good Rob, what's the name of the company that did it? Did you have to send your old one out? I'm thinking about doing this mod next, any info would help.
Thanks,
Kenny

I'd expect it to be a direct replacement since its billet. Kinda sucks that the tensioner is larger than stock, bet that was a suprise .....
Im only interested in the idlers, I believe there are only 2 that are visible so thats not too much damage to the wallet. Post back and let us know where and who to speak with when ordering.
Thanks....

MBA has a pic on their site (new products) ------> Sponsor Link
It uses your stock belt and stock tensioner or the Katech tensioner, I got mine from Thunder but it was like $100.00

Where did you get that tensioner pulley? When you replaced the ps pulley did you have to take the radiator out because of the clearance with the puller?
Thanks
Todd

Steve and I got them from www.turnkeyenginesupply.com We did not have to send them our old ones or anything like that. Can't tell you who to talk to now as the moron we were dealing with at first is no longer there.
Todd I didn't have to take the radiator out for the power steering but I did put a hole in it when I took the old one out. Now there is JB Weld sealing it up. Part of it would depend on what puller you were using. With it out there is defenetly more room to work.
If you get the tensioner and you have an ASP crank pulley you'll need Napa # 060770 belt. Couldn't tell what to use if you're still using the stock crank pulley.

What holds the PS pulley on? I have the puller (actually I was going to polish the head and need to remove th PS pulley) I understand where the puller attaches etc.. but what keeps it on? Is there a key? how is it attached to the shaft? Also, did you get the lower pulley from the same place (in the pic with the PS pulley)?
If I am going to go through all this I am buying that nice PS pulley you have.
Sorry to keep bugging you, I appreciate your help.

The PS pulley is pressed on. Basically its 'stuck', no key or nothing. That's why it's just so much fun to get off and put it on. The PS pulley came from a company called Turn One but I can't find their site. It comes with a hard anodizing but you can polish it off.
I got the lower pulley from Turn Key.
No problem on any questions you got.

Thats too funny. I'll call them tomorrow and see if the competency level gets better now that the other individual is gone.
Poltergeist, did you just get the Tensioner and the idler thats on the alternator bracket ?
Todd2001SS, just have someone help you when you remove the PS pulley. Your going to have to pull the radiator towards you while your removing the pulley - clearance is tight. Also use a long handle socket wrench for addtl leverage - mine came off in a matter of 60 seconds.

Sorry guys, Steve bought them and I paid him back for them. I thought he said $48 each. But then we are always taking turns buying things when we find them and then paying the other back so I might have mixed things up.
