That's what I thought. No doubt it looks good, but being that you're doing it just for looks (since you're actually adding weight) I think I would just save a ton of time and money and just hydrodip them.

Well, i think it's Gurit, also tried HT2. the thing is that it should be clear, some call it optical one. Gonna send it tomorrow, will show the part before laying it with the laque.

Hydrodip doesn't give such a deep look of the part. Tried several parts on the other cars, sure the price is great. smth around 10$ in Moscow for such a small thing. But when u put those thongs near each other you understand the difference. And Besides I don't go on tracks, there are about 30-40 F-body cars on Moscow, and when u drive it it's like driving a UFO=)
People in Aston Martins and 911 show me every day thumbs up=)
I want to leave this car for my children, and want them say - this car built my father. That's it.

I wasn't implying the weight made any actual difference, just that weight reduction was not the goal of your project. I'm not trying to take anything away from your work, like I said before, they look great.

Both parts are covered with 5 layers of resin and are ready for sanding. New pics will be coming today.
