looks good. could you tell me if your hood says made in canada on the inside towards the windshield end. My car came with an SS hood when I bought, and I must say that the fit and finish is excellent, but I don't know if it is an OEM hood.

I ordered the H.O. 350 decal I was going to get a H.P. decal but I did not want to put a HP rating and it not be correct. I know that the LS1 is a 346 ci or so but I think the H.O. 350 will do. I don't really know how much HP I am pushing with the few mod's in my sig. I will check out the hood and let you know.

My OEM SS hood does say made in Canada, not only that but theres an SLP build or serial# scribed in the area where the hood shock goes (it covers it up when bolted to the hood).

Hope that helps

The car is already fast enough stock, so $1500 on an appearance mod , especially one such as an OEM SS hood is a great investment IMO. I'm glad that my car's previous owner put one on my car before selling it to me; if not, I would have bought one shortly afterwards. Now he can save up some money for other mods......It never ends I know.

As long as the product used doesn't contain silicones it is safe to use. There are many "body shop safe" products out there.
