There is also a fin that runs horizontally right through the middle. From what I can tell the versions I received are the worst possible ones for this project.
I agree, you got the worse possible ones for this. The only good side is since you bought them on Amazon when you setup a return they'll send you a return label so no money wasted.

For what it's worth both sets I've owned were purchased through eBay. If you happen to go that way I'd definitely message them and make sure they're just like pictures.

I got the same set as above and managed to get them on. Doubt I can get any pics of how I did it with them already on the car.

i drilled a mount hole in both side ground down some nuts to fit so i could run a hex bolt into it and mounted it to the bracket. i then created an aluminum bracket that i pop-rivited into the light and used the factory adjuster to move it up and down.

I miss my big ole 4.5" LED fogs. Fogs on the C5 leave ALOT to be desired, even with 3000K HIDs.

Post pictures when you get them installed!

Not that I'm aware of.... But I'd guess the brackets and lights very well could be the same.

Measure your fog OD and if it's 4.5" then likely are the same. If I was you, just to double check I'd remove the 3 push pins on back/bottom of the bumper and shine a light up there and you should be able to see most of the bracket and compare to my pictures.

so my fog lights are different and making it difficult.

by where I drilled the holes there are humps in the housing and I have to grind them down to get the spacer to fit. and I have to trim the base of the nuts that im using so they line up with the hole I drilled. the nuts have a skirt. the cooling fins aren't very deep. I plugged one in and it didn't look that bright. but it was in my garage during the daytime. I still plan to make them fit and in the future do the low beam projectors.

Just wanted to add that I ordered mine on Amazon last week and ended up with the 'difficult' ones as well, so it would seem it's now difficult to get the older type. I'm sure I can make these work though.

It sounds like they're pictures on there aren't accurate and they haven't updated them?

Also check eBay, that's where I got both of my sets.

I know these are brighter, how are they to oncoming traffic? I'm all for the better looks/light, but not into being an ******* to oncoming traffic.

Awesome! Really had no plans on doing this mod but for $36 why not? Just ordered a set.

Got mine in the mail today. Bought them from the link two or three posts above (eBay). They are in fact the OLD style that OP used so buy them up while you can.

Looking forward to doing this mod, maybe this weekend!
