Default Removing burnout rubber?

Hey guys, what's the best way to remove old rubber (3 years old) from the rear quarter panels? Someone mentioned using varsol, but I don't want to damage the paint.

What has successfully worked for you?

Elbow grease...

If you spray PAM on the fender, it'll keep rubber bits from sticking.

Believe it or not - spray WD40 on it and wipe with paper towel. Keep spraying and using fresh towels and you can get it spotless with a little elbow grease!

Just spray it on every morning. Because every day is a good day for a burn out...

I had good luck with using my finger to get it off. Get it good and wet with soapy water, let it penetrate it a bit, and then see what wipes off and what doesn't. Whatever doesn't, use your finger(s) and rub back and forth until it comes off. I would spray WD-40 on the rear quarters to keep it from sticking on there in the future.

I always use wd-40. I spray my rear fenders with it and wipe it smooth before each race day. But as stated above. If it's already on there, just keep wiping with new paper towels and it will come right off.

I always used WD40 when my car was painted. Also takes off road tar and tree sap without hurting the paint.
