Default Gauge needles

Planning on getting a new gauge face from 6le but don't want to have my orange needles with it. Does anyone know of other vehicle needles that fit our clusters? I've gone looking through google with not much luck

There are a few threads on here about it. Did you try the search on here or just Google?

Here is someone selling their blue needles:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/parts-cla...e-needles.html

There was a post on here somewhere about using needles from another GM car. If I can find it, i'll post it here.

You can also use needles from a Oldsmobile Silhouette. I believe I ordered one from a Venture and one from a Silhouette. You will have to swap the black pieces, I broke the black pieces off the needles (very carefully) or if you have a small enough drill bit, that's your best bet. Then I just glued the new needles to the original black pieces. I used a clear adhesive so it wouldn't affect the light. I would post a picture but I sent my cluster out over a month ago to get some stuff done to it and still have not received it back.

An exacto knife will work as well. Just shave off the top layer of the plastic weld that is super super thin

I've got like 3 different sets for sale...they are all blue though

https://ls1tech.com/forums/parts-cla...ift-*****.html

https://ls1tech.com/forums/parts-cla...e-needles.html

I also have a set of these I modified. They are for a silverado. They are shorter than our needles.

Why would you tint them black? That would reduce light output (or make them not light up at all if you go too dark).

If you find them too bright, adjust the **** so the gauges are dimmer.

You're probably thinking of something like VHT Niteshades. Its a black tint for tail lights. I guess it could work. They probably won't be as bright. I'd go light on the coats, maybe 2 light ones. They'll still light up the same color, just black-ish looking during the day.

you need to get gas and service your vehicle

Pretty neat, where did you get the clear needles from?
