Default Help with aerocatch latch placement

Finally replaced my vfn 5" sloped pin on after losing the original some were along the highway, long story!
but i got a new one here and 2 sets of aerocatch latches. Front two seem pretty simple, I plan on using the old bump stop mounts.
it's the back two I need help coming up with a mounting solution.
here's a couple pics, let the ideas roll out!

No one has any tips? Opinions? Not even an "f* off and figure it out"?

I would put them right where that brake fluid bottle is sitting, then in the same location on the other side. Obviously you'll have to fab a little something up though.

If been scratching my head (and a**) the last 2 hrs on this and think I found a possible solution
There are two flat spots right on the back side ofnthe fenders next to were the factory hood or struts bolted to. Here's a pic I marked were the two spots are, think this will work? Or is that to closer the front

I heard some guys put extra weight, like sand bags on an after market hood to do the final fitting. Let the car sit outside in the sun when you do this.

Just my 2 cents, not sure if this will work.

Got the front 2 done, pretty simple being there's no motor in the car, I just layed the hood on and climbed under and marked where the pins hit. Drilled the holes, measured the supplied templet about 4-500 times. Broke out the dremele and didn't look back! Pretty happey with how it tuerned out so far. Still need to align the driver fender and set the pin hight. Now to tackle the rear two and figure out the bat wings!

I personally wouldn't cut on a genuine oem hood, but in my case, it's not so no big deal to me being an after market piece

Any update on the rear fasteners? I'm looking to do the exact same thing. I've been thinking about some kind or hidden pin and hook for the rear to stay put and use the Aerocatch on the front but not sure if that would rattle or even save wright from the hinges.

I seriously doubt it's a long story, so how did you lose your hood on the highway?

Well, it was worse than just loosing the hood. Started out going 30 miles out of my way for a spare trailer tire that was flat, then a 3 and half hr drive to the get the car. Lost a caliper bolt out of my driver rear brake caliper after all the parts stores closed. Gotbthe car loaded and instead of running the strap over the hood and attaching it to the car, I hooked it to the trailer and the strap broke and hood is long gone.
