What percent tint should I go with?

Yeah 5 looks good as well! Since my car is a convertible though I already have a pretty good sized blind spot. I feel like 5 percent would make it really hard to see around me.

If your not following the Federal DOT guide lines your a free grab for any cop having a bad day in any state.. I don't like to give them a freebie to pull me over.. Like the guy back in the SE who got nabbed for his tail light being out of spec for DOT and they were stock chevy.. 2 years of fighting with the court and they still hadn't let it go last I checked..

5% and never look back. If you get a ticket, it won't matter what percentage you have the tickets all cost the same. Every vehicle I've owned has had a min of 5%, a couple of them had 5% + 20%, loved it.
If you weren't in a f-body I'd suggest tinting the windshield 50%, you'd be surprised how much BETTER you can see at night and during the day since it cuts down on all the glare. But if you ever have to pull it off a f-body, it'd really suck due to the angle of the windshield. I've personally never tinted my f-body windshields, but have on most other vehicles I've owned.
