98+ Firebird Taillights

98+ Firebird Taillights So I am finally putting the Trans Am back on the road after 6 years of occupying my carport. The taillights were cracking when I parked it and I wanted to change them anyways. The plan is to cast the outer shape and layup new lenses out of acrylic. I am thinking I want a louvered look similar to the v6 lights with horizontal stripes. Wish me luck and I'll take pics when I can.

98+ and yes I am well aware how much of a nightmare it is going to be and the current set is not salvageable. I just can not wrap my head around buying a used set of taillights that I do not like and are of unknown condition as the nearby salvage yards do not have any and the networked guy is quoting 100 dollars each.

There is no such thing as a "WS6" tail light, and for '98+ there isn't even a V6 specific tail light.
So are you trying to make something similar to the '97 and earlier V6 lights? Based on your description, it actually sounds like you're aiming for something closer to the '97 and earlier V8 lights - not the V6 version.
