Default New seat covers, what tools?

After close to 4 months my new seat covers showed up from Lethal interiors and I'm planning on spending the 4th installing them because freedom? I've never done any upholstery work in my life, but it seems like most folks are able to do this on their own. What tools do I need? I'm guessing a set of hogring pliers and some hogrings (but no idea how many)?

And of course does anyone have any pointers?

So incase anyone stumbles on this, for my 1999 z28 there were 8ish hogrings on each of the back seat bottoms, but other than that you just need the general assortment of metric sockets and torx bits to disassemble our interiors.

Every time I think about doing this I look at the plastic side bolsters on my seats and wish I had a Camaro instead of a firebird lol

Default I hate hog rings! lol

I've hated hog rings ever since the seats on my 67 Mustang!

It's nice to know there's only a few of them, and they're in the back seat.

Hopefully with luck and leather conditioners maybe I'll never need to do anything to the rear seats!

Appreciate you taking the time to post this thread!

I think those actually pop off without too much trouble, but I could be wrong. The thing I keep getting worried about is how brittle the plastics are getting when I go to remove them.

Ain't that the truth, I had a mild moment of terror when I ordered my hog ring pliers and a bag of 100 hog rings which were advertised as enough for 1 seat. I need to get better about taking pictures during the modding process!

Was looking more closely at my rear seats yesterday (the car is parked in storage three miles from my house).

Did not want to pull on the seam too hard and my eyesight isn't what it used to be!

What holds that seam together behind the rear upper seat? Is there Velcro or a zipper in there?
