Default DiY ceramic coating

Hey all so this isn't directly LS related, although I'm planning to follow largely the same process on my F-body now that I know it works. I watch a lot of youtube videos and lots of people have been using various ceramic coating kits. Since I'm lazy and don't get to wash my cars as much as I would like I figured this was a no brainer. Earlier this year I bought a fairly ratty 2013 Audi S7 with ~75k miles on it, the paint was rough literally and figuratively. There were a bunch of swirl marks and a ton of oxidation below all of the windows, basically this didn't do justice to an originally $90k+ msrp car. I recently moved into a townhome and had to buy almost everything so I'll include a cost breakdown too. Here is what I did:
  1. Went to a self wash car was and pressure wash + soap, lots of iron-x and bug and tar remover was used here. ($10 at the wash and $30 for the iron-x + bug and tar remover)
  2. Back home in the garage I started with the chemical guys waterless wash through their atomizer and washing with lots of microfibers while not reusing any ($60)
  3. Clay bar the whole car, again from chemical guys with their luber ($20)
  4. Spray down the whole car with a 1 to 4 mix of isopropyl alcohol to water ($10 in distilled water, alcohol and a spray bottle)
  5. Buffed the whole car with the chemical guys torq buffer + their v34 compound ($160 on amazon for the whole kit)
  6. Sprayed down the whole car with the isopropyl alchol mix again
  7. Applied the ceramic coat from Avalonking with their kit ($49)
  8. Let the car sit for 24 hours so everything can cure
Aside from the full 8 hour day I spent doing this it cost me ~$340 which would be a lot less if I already had the buffer and "hard" supplies. I'm super happy with how the car turned out and once I get the new wheels for it it'll be mostly sorted out. I've seen mixed reviews on the Avalonking coating, so I'll try to update this after a year if I can remember to. Here are some pictures because why not:

After the buff:

I'm happy to answer any questions about the process or the results!

Looks like it turned out great, have been wanting to try a ceramic coating on my beater work car 04 G35X basically to practice on that one before I tried my 01 Camaro. Seems like the coatings have came a long way from just a few years ago in that they are not as complex to apply as some can be with getting high and low spots.

@98CayenneT/A & @HotWhipT/A I believe do paint correction professionally and have a lot of cool examples of work done on their posts.

Yeah my friends were definitely giving me some crap because I wanted to practice on my daily which is arguable a much more expensive car before moving on to my Camaro. I'm hoping to have my Camaro done later this month, I'm going back and forth on how much buffing and polishing I really want to do.

What do you mean by this?

4th gen paint is really nice to work with.
I've done black, red, white, pewter, cayenne red and hugger orange 4th gens and all were a pleasure to correct.

The paint itself is in decent shape, but the door jambs have been rubbed down to the metal in some spots from the doors not being properly adjusted for who knows how long. I also have vinyl graphics on the sides which I'm guessing I need to tape off if I want to use a more aggressive compound? Honestly I haven't spent a ton of time thinking about it yet.

Really nice job, look forward to seeing your Camaro done. I have always hand waxed my vehicles and only hand wash at home. But have been thinking about the ceramic coating.
