Default custom floor mats..

Anyone have any info over all weather mats specifically made for our F-body cars?

I have a 1998 Z28. I don't want something like weathertech etc... I want something with Camaro or Z28 designed on them.

Cloth is okay too. I looked and most threads on this were years ago and some of those companies no longer exist

WeatherTech is a premium option in terms of all-weather (rubber), but they apparently no longer offer 4th gen specific fitment at this time. But that's not what you want anyway.

In terms of custom appearance/design, Lloyd's is an excellent brand. I have these in my '98 Z28, bought them about 15 years ago. You can custom select the base color, the seam/hem, and various embroidery options and colors (I did "Z28" on the floor mats and "Camaro" on the deck mat). Not sure how extensive their fitment and embroidery selections are for 4th gens at this point, but years ago there were a lot of options. I'd start there if I was in the market today, see what they still offer. But these are not "all-weather", they are a good quality/thick pile carpet with skid resistant backing that conforms well to the floor contours. Mine are still like brand new, but I rarely drive this car and never in bad weather. Regardless, based on the quality I imagine they would hold up pretty well in a daily driver, though road salt is going to be an issue for any sort of carpet material over time.

Lloyd's looped mats are the more durable version. Look great.

Well now I'm confused about the proper color to order... I have a 98 Camaro with these RPO codes

99 was gray interior. The earlier cars were charcoal.

RPO 14I is your interior trim color, "Dark Gray", same for 1997-1999. But not all dark grays are the same from every company, so it may or may not be a perfect match.

I was concerned about this also, as there are so many variants that can qualify as "dark gray", so instead I just went with black. All the switches and ***** (at least for our Camaros, though not Firebird), steering column and a few other items are black, so this works well as an accent color and looks purposeful rather than a mismatched gray. I then had the embroidery done in silver to match the exterior paint. Ended up looking really nice in person. An exact color match would be great too, but I'm not sure if that's possible with an aftermarket mat.

I think you're right. Black is probably the way to go. I'm also going with the exterior color for the embroidery aspect of it.

Here's a picture to give you an idea of whether you might like the black or not. If I had felt confident about matching the shade of gray and gone that route, then I would have probably gone with black embroidery just because the silver would have been lost on the gray background. That would have looked nice too. But doing it this way allowed for an inverse effect of what's on the fender (silver paint, black Z28 badge) so it looks especially nice with the door open. Same with the deck mat (black carpet with silver "Camaro" stitching is the inverse of my silver tail panel with black urethane "Camaro" letters, looks striking when you can see both especially with the hatch open):

That's literally the exact plan I had in mind after you suggested to go with the black color. Thanks for the assistance on this.
