Can I powder coat my spindles?

I would recommend having it beadblasted with a fine glass, or grinding and sanding up to 400 to get a smooth finish, the powder will fill tiny dimples, but not a perfect finish on CAST pieces

hey since i have done it i will chime in
you can powdercoat spindles as i have for some people.. sandblasting them will smooth the casting out so that the powder can fill more of the castings...
