Wow man, awesome story. Sucks that car is dicked up, but better the car than you, right? I'd just let it go personally. No fix in that car.

i wouldn't want that car back. you'd absolutely never be able to sell it either.

Use to be such a beautiful car

Id just buy a new one (hopefully you had insurance), and drive it a bit more carefully.

I wouldn't even bother fixing it. It will never be close to be the same car it used to be.

Well, I did have full coverage on it. I was wanting to buy it back, so I could sell the motor and tranny. These combos are going for close to $5k on ebay right now, correct? The T-tops are still good. That's about $500 right there? Leather interior is still good. another $500? Ram air hood is still good. $300-400? other little tidbits I'm sure I could sell. I mainly want it back to get all the parts I just put on it, back. T-ReX cam, valve train, headers, and some other stuff. I still have all my stock stuff I can put back on it to sell. Do you guys think it's worth it to do this?

Sure if you can make some money, but don't forget, you will have to pay the junk yard to take it back after you salvagedwhat you can. Unless of course you are just going to let it rot in the front/back yard. Just kidding ya.
Good luck

Get another car dude. If I was gonna buy a car today, I'd get a '98 C5 Vette. I saw several for <20k on autotrader!

5k is way too much. You can buy a wrecked f-body with a lot less damage for 5k. I bought mine back for 1900....they are wanting too much. Don't give over 3k for it.

Oh yeah, great idea, maybe the idea of the century! "Save the top speed runs for the freeway",.....and risk killing countless others.

150 MPH on a two lane country road! Dumb ****.

You should drive a Toyota Corola until you mature some more. Learn to respect the life of your passengers and the ones who love them.

Take time for reflection on what just happened.
