Default Katech Carbon Fiber Valve Covers...

The price is so rediculous ... $1800 PER COVER!

They do look sexy tho, saw them when I went up to their operations, does anyone actually have these?

Seems like that's, what, > $1000 per pound saved?
And 10lb=1HP (on the 1/4 mile) so that's, like,
$10000 per HP? Must be about the bling. 'Cause
even a burrito-supreme blower kit, installed, is well
under $100/HP. Fully polished.

If I had nothing but money I would buy a pair. Then I would make a toilet that looked like an LS1 and put them on it. Bling or not, that crap wouldn't be going under my hood.

Yeah, they said even if they were mass produced, it would only drop the price by 1/2, still high if you ask me.

Uhh there's like 80000 companies that make carbon fiber (and colored carbon fiber) fuel rail covers. Very popular with the vette crowd. Visit corvetteforum or z06vette.com. 250-400 is common for a pair of real carbon fiber covers.

I believe they are talking about the actual valve covers, not fuel rail covers.

No, they had them in their showcase window, picture the C5-r covers, but carbon fiber and red lettering.

That is $1800 per cover, so that's $3600 for both! What a joke, but I guess if people have enough money, they will buy anything they want!

Since Katech caters to the race teams with unl. budgets, they can set thier prices that high, is keeps all the "tire-kickers" and "riff-raff" (see: you and I) from bothering them with lots of questions.

Sorry this is about valve covers. If you can get me a set of CF valve covers at that price, I am pretty sure you wouldnt be able to keep them on the shelves.

lol at what point do people stop paying attention, and just read 'cover', instead of 'valve cover', and assume that the word 'fuel rail' takes place in front of 'cover'. damn, thats more then one person this thread. and one was a sponser. christ. LOL.
