Default Dupont caliper paint kit

Just did mine and they look great. Also put on the firehawk logo. I would highly recommend this kit to everyone. I;ll attach pics tomorrow.

did you grind down the calipers for prep? or just sand a little bit first? If you didn't sand it down, did the paint smooth out well over the ridges? I'm pretty interested in this...

I saw this kit advertised in the "Popular Hot rodding" magazine. Definately get us some pics and how you went about putting this stuff on. And what you thought of it.
This will probably be my next project.

I tried the VHT kit, not very happy with the results. Went with "real red", but they look kinda orange. Took extra care to prep them according to directions. Where did you get the FireHawk stickers?

All I used to clean the calliper was break cleaner and an old toothbrush. THe callipers are pretty smooth already, the only draw back is that its tough to apply the paint evenly with the brush so not to show brush strokes. But for $15 bucks looks great.

Saw a post on another board about someone getting a kit at Walmart. Had brushes, cleaner, and so on. Have yet to see anyone with their work up close and personal.

This kit is the ****, i painted my buddies 03 Cobras calipers two weeks ago and everone thinks they are kick ***, i did the VHT on mine and was very dissapointed. This kit is highly recommend this kit. Its so easy to do you just paint it on with a brush, the silver is kind of shitty because it is so thin, the black is really thick and easier to put on.
