Hi Dave...
Originally we were hoping to have it show off some cf projects at shows, but it was pushed behind because of new projects that came up (sorry!!).....i think it would be a little better if it was put to good use rather then sitting in storage (it would be a waste as it's a great looking camaro)....

Jeanie, maybe i can round up 4-5 guys to come over and act as a 'clinic.'

As far as the roller goes, we could talk about it, I'm in that kind of mood.

Hey John....this would be great.....especially since the hood is like the others we've made - look better in person rather then in pics....but I'm sure that this will give everyone all around on what we could make that would look great....
let us know when it would be good to drop by....
Thanks.

Aww...that is one sweet hood!

Jeanie (VFN), copy the link, then open up a new browser, and paste it. It worked like that for me.

Looks like the cowl is smoother, doesnt have the lip in the back, and has a shorter line on top of the cowl. Very nice, does anyone know if they have a website?

When I was in Atlanta 2yrs ago at G7 Gathering,I spoke w/Scott Settlemire about this car.He said that GM had gotten their think tank together to build this car.I asked where I could get that hood and he said it was one off, like the widened fenders they later used on the Dick Harrell Supercar. Now all we need is a hood manufaturer to duplicate this hood,it would sell like mad!!!

for the camaro hood, i agree with Silver.. might look better on the later models instead.

I think a cowl hood for a 98-02 Camaro should be more rounded and less angular like the early 70's Chevelle SS hoods. There used to be a similar hood for the LT1 Camaros on a Chevy concept Camaro that had a 302 in it. Looked real good.

I think the first camaro hood is a too wide. Not a fan of the 2nd one with the ram air scoops...

BTW: I'm also another fan of the the Penske Sonoco cowl hood...I've been wanting a vendor to duplicate that hood forever. I've been running the stock hood for 3 years now because there isn't an aftermarket hood out there that I like, but If the Penske hood became available then my stock hood would make a good winter sled. VFN would make a killing if they sold this hood

Jeanie, if you make that Sunoco type cowl hood, I will be the first in line to get one! I've been trying to get other vendors to make one, but nobody has jumped on the project yet.

Only thing I'd recommend is loosing that center line on the scoop. Just make it smooth so it matches the rest of the car better. Build it exactly like this one, I removed the spine with photoshop:

Tony, nice photoshop. Either way, I love the hood with or without the line on the cowl. I like it because its not too tall and it goes smoothly into the cowl versus such a drastic curve.

Jeanie, if you could make a hood identicle to the one posted with or without the line, you can definately count on me buying it.

I kinda like it w/the centerline in the hood(ties in w/the line on the nose piece)Although the photoshop looks nice as well.I would buy on either way.Now all that is needed is someone to manufacture it.
