Also, if it can be purchased? I would really love to buy a hood just like it. I like how the cowl is smoother. Its not so drastic. It gradually, yet smoothly flows up into the cowl. I also like how the line in the middle of the cowl isnt all the way from the front to the back. I have a feeling that this hood is one of a kind and cant be purchased because the rest of the car looks like it has its own touches. (fenders, front facsia, etc.) If someone could duplicate this hood, you cant count on me buying it!

Its the Dick Harrel Edition. The parts are not for sale, unless someone custom molds them I'm assuming.

GMMG is building the Dick Harrell car, and Im a little too drunk right now to remember if GMMG helped with the fabrication of the Sunoco car but Im pretty sure unless you know someone who's got carbon fiber, metal or fiberglass fab knowledge the chances of getting that hood are slim to none, cause about the only way you're going to get it is custom work. Unless a sponser steps up to help (hint hint, wink wink)

Actually, thats not the Dick Harrell edition car -- that is the original GM car that was at the Woodward Dream Cruise (similar to the "concept" GTO they had there this year).
The Dick Harrell car was made as a production version of this car by GMMG (although the panels were done by GM). Those have been sold out for quite some time. So as I said before -- you aren't going to get one.

Patrick G, its not really the same. The hood I posted is smoother. The line on the cowl doesnt extend all the way from the front to the back. Main difference is that the hood doesnt go into the cowl drastically like the rest of the cowl hoods out there. If a sponsor, *cough*VFN*cough* could duplicate this hood, Id definately buy it.

the Sonoco was made by GM Perfomance personally, its not an aftermarket hood. VFN has a thread going and may make a replica.

Well from pictures Ive seen, its not a one of a kind hood, there is more than one. I wonder if GM sells the hood. I wonder if it would be worth the effort to contact GM about buying one.

both of the hoods were made for those specific cars. there are no aftermarket componies producing this. VFN might at sometime, but not right this minute.

You can order the hood from GMMG here in marietta Ga. The hoods cost like $1200.00. My freinds car was used for the mold on the dick harold cars. It looks pretty sweet in person. That greenish is the shop owners the paint is not that great. I saw it the other day at there shop and for $122,000.00 which is what they cost the paint is cracking all on the spoiler and the bumper just from it being out in the sun. Thought this might help.
