Question Scratch Removal

OK, I did a search, but got a lot of confusing info... Is there any products that will remove light scratches and surface swirls? I think my buddy's dog may have scratched up my car while she was in the garage. I also have some swirls from way back. These aren't real deep, but since there are quite a few, it looks ugly. The car is painted black if that helps. Thanks! Ben

Try doing a search on Menzerna and the Porter Cable buffers. That will get you going. I am sure the swirls can be done with an orbital buffer, but the scratches depend on how deep they are. Those may come out with a regular buffer, but usually takes someone that knows what they are doing so you don't make a bad situation worse.

3M Finesse-it II Finishing Material and a Porter Cable 7424 buffer/polisher with a foam pad is what you want.

Lots of polishes out there that will remove light scratches and swirls. Menzerna, Poorboy's, Einszett, 3M, etc.

That's odd I wasn't aware that Nanowax had abrasives in it.

I'm guessing a good buffer would be at least $100? Damn...I was hoping there would be a cheaper fix.

The Porter Cable Polisher is the best tool you'll buy for your car - it's worth the cost the 1st time you use it - and you'll use it over & over...

I use Menzerna Intensive Polish, then Final Polish, then Formula 113 Wax with the Porter Cable on my Black T/A - not a swirl/scratch to be found

In all honesty, I use 3M P-III Machine Glaze with my PC with great results .

I don't like to recommend something I've never used before so that's why I recommened the Finesse-it II instead, I'm not sure what there using today but the last time I knew the G.M plant I retired from was still using the Finesse-it II.
