Just wondering what has worked best for everyone? I've heard leaving it on for as little as 10 minutes and as long as 2 hours? What do you do???

I read on autopia to do a test where you wipe a small spot with your finger....if the spot smears its not dry, if it wips clean, then its time.........but the thicker you put it on the longer it is going to take to dry.

I use The Wax Shop wax, and they recommend waiting at least 10 minutes. After trying it sooner, I have found that they are indeed right I usually wax the entire car before I go back and start wiping it back off. The truck is a little more awkward, so I have to stop applying and begin removing the wax before the it is completely covered.

It really depends what you are using, what the environmental conditions are, etc.

The swipe test is usually a pretty good indicator.

Most of the time I just put the wax on and by the time I finish applying its about time to take it off. I'd say about 20 min
