The excitement wears off once you get used to your fingers not slipping off the ***** like with the stock ones.

I also got around to the headlight ****. Check it out:

A while back I decided to replace the AC ***** for better grip and that kinda got me thinking about the headlight **** as well. On some other cars the headlight **** is illuminated when the engine is on so you don't have to feel around for the headlight switch at night. I got used to it on another vehicle and wanted something similar for the TA.
Basically, I bought another **** just like the one I used for the AC, cut the shaft down considerably and glued it back on, mounted a small red LED in the ****. Drilled a hole into the **** area of the switch, ran wiring through the hole and then wired it up to ign. using a resistor. It's harder than it sounds, but works great.

Alright, here is the day shot.

Here is the night shot with the lights off but ignition on.

I got some billet ***** off ebay and a white HVAC kit the white is alight out of place with a stock head unit but once I put in my DVD player it looked fine. Very attractive I also put hyperleds behind the ***** instead of the stock lights so the hole in the **** lights up the front of the HVAC control where the selection is. I've had a whole lot of complements on them. I’ve had several of my friends ask me to get the parts for their cars. So I don’t think its just my love of rice (the food rice that is). I would post some pics but my car is in the shop and I think it’s going to be there for an extended vacation. I’ll try to remember to take some pics when I go up there again.

Yea, but then it messes all the colors up on the backgrounds. Most folks don't want to use LEDs anyway. This is just a simple **** swap to make it easier to grip and still look factory.

Frankly, I didn't like the camaro *****.

wouldnt it be cool if the ***** could double as a gauge? like just be flat and round like stock but have grip on the outside so you grab it like a lid to a jar but on the front face was a gauge? And there could be bearing in between so the gauge stayed in the right position when you turned the ****? lol quick thought i just threw out there i dont know how cool it would really be!

So, 96+ Grand Am and 93+ Camaro ***** will work? Which ones are easiest to make like stock in a Firebird/TA, and how would one go about doing it?
