Wow, that hurts to see those pics, makes me sick to my stomach. You work so hard for something, then some tard comes along and tears it up. I cant say I would have killed him, but it wouldnt have been good. Hope you find a good replacement, and if it were me, I would buy the salvage.

BigBadWolf - I was told about the system by old-timers on F-body.com, did the research and never found anything bad about it. (just never did look up the cost )
sQuashed - I hope your loss wont deter you in finding a replacement. Maybe the best medicine is to get a replacement F-body, asap and create some brand-new good memories (besides it is a buyers market )

Sorry to hear about your loss....
What I used to do when I daily drove my car was detatch the shifter from the base when I parked the car. All it took was two screws and it was removed. I would replace the shifter boot as well.
Hard to steel a car that you had trouble putting into gear or shifting gears while running.
That or pull a fuse or two and replace them with burnt out fuses, typically the starter and fuel pump fuses. That way it would attract more attention when they had to pop the hood. People usually offer to help when they see you with the hood up, which would discourage someone from steeling a car.
I have to be honest, I don't lock my car at my current job. We are surrounded by farms, it's a gated property with cameras all around, security partrols constantly, and I park in the back executive lot. I may reconsider now after seeing this.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that man. I hope you get back on your feet soon. We've had 3 other vehicles stolen in the family, all with the keys in them and all were recovered with minimal/no damage. That's why my key FOB is my best friend in the Z.

My condolences -
Must be like loosing a friend.
Bet the scumbag will have the most expensive lawyers OUR money can afford.
I pray he DOESN'T get a damn liberal judge when brought to trial.
Good luck on your next vehicle.

i feel ya...
Apologies man. I caught someone trying to steal my z in Fort Worth once. Admittedly I left the keys in it and the tops off. Luckily I was walking out of the store the exact time it happened. Ran to my car as he had just got it started, luckily he stalled off the clutch and I grabbed him and yanked him out. He kind of fell on his face and it knocked him out. I yelled for someone to call the cops as a group of people had now gathered after seeing me drag a man out of my car.(I was in a spot right next to the entrance of the store) Cops came there and while arresting him found a utility knife so I got lucky twice not only because he didnt get away but because he could have cut me up pretty severely had I not caught him off guard. He was a drug addict too. It was one of the most intense moments. He got 12 months but I think he only served like 6 or something. Anyways this was all moot caue in July of 01', about a month and half later, in Grand Prairie I hit someone who ran a red and totalled it out. So I just bought another a new one a couple months down the road . So it will all work out for the best man, I know it will.

Dearly beloved,
We are gathered here on these pages to lay to rest, this Camaro SS.
For she now is in heaven in gods hands, Running no longer on these lands.
To gas few, smoking tires, She brought him joy and desire.
Desire for speed, and that 10 second race.
To look into the eyes of rice, and put them in there place.
So wipe the tears from your eyes, and say your goodbyes,
For the death of one, another shall arise.
Amen
