Yeah it is polished. I wanted to polish several things in the engine bay, so when I was installing the headers I saw the the drive shaft was Aluminum and thought it would be a great part to pratice on.

Hey Steve want to clean mine now? I kinda went 4-wheeling with my car while trying to take it out of my garage behind my house and to the street. All this rain made mud, and f-bodies aren't the greatest with that.. Ended up having to rope it out, JUST after I painted my rearend, did calipers, cleaned everything under there!! Anyways, looks killer

Yeah let's do it. But you gotta be willing to leave it with me for awhile. What we otta do is get the NW group to go in on a lift, doing this kinda detail on jack stands is a pain.

And while I've got mine looking good it's even in the same ball park as Todd's.

lol I was just kidding about the detailing thing, I can do that part . But I would like it if you could show me the ropes about waxing and such when the weather gets better, I haven't waxed my car since I bought it and it needs it bad. In return maybe I could powder coat some parts you have?

Yeah I'd be happy to help you out. The more I do and study on that topic the more I learn how little I know.

Steve, your car looks awesome underneath. Great job. The exhaust came out really nice. Time to buy mirrors.

Here are a few pics of my car...

Here is a pic of the race look...

Show look...

Happened to find a thread about undercarriages from a while ago, when I was looking for other stuff, and thought it might be of interest here https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearance-detailing/12088-post-pics-underside-ur-ride-especially-todd2001ss.html

i wish i could make mine look like that, but a DD in dust and rocks and dirt would ruin that in one trip. Those UCs sure are beautiful
