Default Opinions On Interior Painting

I have a Black/Silver theme going on my 99. IVe sen alot of people with there accent pieces of interior painted silver..im kinda wanting somethign differnt. Im not looking for flashy though. My interior is the lighter grey...how do you think painting the interior pieces Black? Doing like the gauge cluter bezel, door handle panels, maybe the cente console..and around the radio? Ya think that would really even stand out? Or just look blah

If you go with a gloss black it should look good. I did mine in a deep purple. I have a black and purple thing happening. It looks very good and have had a ton of compliments on it. I didnt do the console because I thought it would be to much.

I'm against it, but I've seen some applications where it looked really good.

this would all be done by a spray gun and in a paint booth also cleared over..so its not gonna look cheap.

I can't find the thread right now, but a guy painted the little bezels that sit inside your A/C vents (not the moving vent part itself) silver and it looked really tasteful and not obnoxious.

i dont like it when someone paints all their "removable" interior pieces yellow or red or something. just looks trashy to me. but if you painted them a different color that was subtle and done well, like you said, prepped, sprayed well and cleared, then it could look good. look at the thread about the CF pieces that guy did for his vette, those look sick! it would look badass to do them in cf yourself.

An option that I haven't seen done yet is to paint the pieces a dark charcoal grey metallic.. sand the parts down and get a nice two stage job done with a thick clear or even urathane coating..

The contrast would look SO good.. and it would be classy and still be subtle..

Trust me.. i know things..

That is a very good idea. I know it would look great on the ebony interiors, but what do you think about for the charcoal ones? Would it be too close .....
