new flame pics (warning: dirty car!)
someone was requesting some pics of my flames in different light, so i went out and snapped a few today. but my car is extremely NASTY. raining a good bit here lately, and i havent washed it because the console/HVAC area are torn out right now to wire up my electric cutout and put in a new radio. so i havent driven it to anywhere with city water so i dont have to worry about wasking it and getting water spots. so bear with me, here they are.
and, last but not least, the best two of the day, only ones i have of the halos and clear corners:
heh, find the flames in the last 2. sometimes i think they ghost out TOO much.

Very nice looking.
Love the halos.
All I have seen until now are the dark ones, but I love the ones you have, looks great with the clear corners.
Flames look very subtle, and that, imo, looks best.

i got lucky, sorta. i had hit a deer, $3800 worth of damage to the front end. so when i had her in the shop, i asked the owner if he could go ahead and spray some ghost flames since it needed a hew hood, driver's side fender, and front fascia and he was already gonna be painting those. (thats one reason the flames dont go back onto the doors - more money that i didnt have at the time). it ended up costing me a whopping $300 for the flames, and there was enough money that the insurance company had given me that i ended up with an extra $50 in my pocket after the car was fixed.

oh another cool part: the way the guy did it, the only pearl is on the hood and fenders - the front fascia is still arctic white. that way, if it rock chips or anything, it canbe touched up with arctic white and e doesnt have to worry about matching the pearl. it's already come in handy once, and i'm sure it will again.
