installing frc's on a 2000 f-body
for the guys that have done this on your 2000 f-bod, can you post up some pics of the covers?
i just wanna see where to make the cuts and did you have to cut a good portion of the rear section out?
i did a search and found this: http://www.ztaracing.com/Jp/frc.htm
but i dont think its for a 2000 model year.
thanks

I was able to install mine with no cuts whatsoever. They came from LPE with the two fuel line holes, and a dipstick hole already in them. I really didn't want to butcher them up unless i absolutely had to (fairly pricey, they are), so i went ahead and tried it, and they went in fine. Not an easy installation by any stretch, but they do fit without cuts. At least in the 1999 TA.

If you have the AIR system in your car, you'll have to cut it. Since you don't have your LT's in (unless you need to update your sig), I'm guessing you still have the AIR system. Without it, I'm not sure if you'll have to cut them. Of course, I've got an 02 so things could be a bit different.

I had to do major cutting to get mine to fit on my '00 'bird. On the driver's side, I ended up cutting so much off that the "E" in "CORVETTE" is missing. The same goes for the passenger-side as lots of material needed to be removed from the rear of the FRC in order to get it to fit. From the website you listed, I did make all of those cuts as well. I had pics of the entire process, but do to a digital camera snafu I lost them There are a few pics of them installed on my website though if you care to look (click on sig pic).
