I am running mine with stock shocks, but I have a 99. I heard the shocks in the later models were revolved and ride too soft and don't work well with the prokit.

if you have 20K on your car the stockers should be alright still, but its a gamble. i'd wait until you can get a good set of struts/shocks all around.

i'm running KYB GR-2's on the back of my car and have had NO problems. they're very affordable i think they go for under 30 bucks apiece.

I'm running stock shocks with 18" rims, the ride is not as smooth as the stock but not bad either.

I have the stock shocks and I think they are too soft to handle the lowering springs. It's O.K if you don't get too crazy. I would go ahead and do it and see how you like it and then change em if u want.

if you dont really have the funds to get the shocks id atleast get the fronts cuz its easy to redo the install and jack up the rear to put rears on. the fronts on the other hand is not as easy i did it twice and i was like wish i did this the first time

I've got the stock shocks on mine right now. And the pro kit was on the car when I drove it off the showroom floor. Car only has a little over 15k miles on it, but the shocks are about gone. I'm looking into either some Bilsteins or KYB shocks.

I'm running stocker's with 101k miles on them. My pro-kit has been on my car since about 76k miles. The ride is firm but not bad. You just get used to it after awhile. It's not bouncing around rough though. It's just a firm ride and you can feal the bumps in the road. Every once in a while you'll hit the bumpstops in the back. But hey lowered cars aren't supposed to ride like a caddy.

Sorry... it rides better than the Bilstein pakage I think. A few of my buddies have the Bilstein's on their cars and they kinda bounce down the road, no bounce here, just a smooth ride. And I don't have stock struts, they are Monroe Sensetrac's from the auto parts... they work well enough for me.

I think that the Prokit front spring is fine, the rear is useless. waaaayyyy to soft and short. Every Eibach ( even the SLP ) equipt car I've seen has what I fondly call the saggy *** . . . once the spring settles in the back of the car sags, like there is a dead body in the trunk . . . so since the springs are so soft the rear bottoms out ALL the time, plus I have agressive offset rear wheels and the tires contact the wheel well lip . . . now yes I could roll the fenders of my car, to avoid the tire scraping issue, but why?

No I am also running Koni Double Adjustable shocks, so the shocks are not the flaw . . .

I could also remove the bumpstop, but why? All that will do is increase the amount the tires scrape the wheel wells.

Oh and forget hauling anything or anyone around. Search in the Handling forum.

Both my cars have Eibach springs and I want to get rid of them all . . . Honestly I'd look into DMS or Hotchkis . . . or better yet take advantage of the advice Sam Strano provides.

Now supposedly the LT1, has different Eibach spring rates and they are supposedly better, but I cant honestly say.
