Installing aftermarket hood.... The wife is picking up our fiberglass SS hood today. Any advice on how to get it to install and line up correctly? I have taken my hood off a few times before, but I have heard that it can be hard to get an aftermarket hood lined up. Any advice?
I have been using my stock struts for for almost 4 years no issues.

That is gunmetal and it is wheel paint that I did myself. It was VERY easy to paint the wheels and they have held up to bad weather, chemical cleaners, and lots of driving. The only bad spots on them are where I hit them with the lug wrench when I was putting them on. I wanted to polish the wheels up but I didn't have the time. I like the Vette wheels because they allow me to run a 285 in the back, yet they are lighter than my stock chrome wheels....

It's a glasstech hood. It's heavier that most aftermarket hoods, but it is STURDY! It also fits like a champ, here are some more pics.I forgot to take pics of underneath the hood, but the tubes are there to make it ram air just like the stock SS hood. You just have to cut the openings (which I plan on doing as soon as I get my grill in).The fit is better than my stock hood with the only problem being that the very front of the hood sticks out about 1/4 inch too far. I think I can round out the hinges a little and slide the hood back and it will fit perfect.

Basically you wet sand them with finer and finer sandpaper and then use a polish to get the final look. Makes them like brand new. Try a search for "polish headlights".
