i used regular duplicolor spray paint not high temp or anything and it has held up perfect for over a year. i guess it depends more on what you are doing with your car though. if you are autocrossing then you will need a high temp for sure because they will heat up more.

anyone else? I do think the 500 degree will do just fine. My car is just a weekend, sunny weather driver.

go with the autozone 1,000,000,000,000 degree C.

j/k my 500 works fine, you'll have to worry more about chipping rather then 500 degree paint melting off imo

I am fairly certain that the 500 degree paint, engine paint and acrylic enamel are all the same bird. I have used acrylic enamel on engines in the past and it held up great. I believe that the engine paint is acrylic enamel.

I painted my calipers with dp-90 epoxy primer, red base coat and clearcoated them, just like if it were a door or bumper. They are holding up great!!

The most important thing is that what you are painting is clean and free of grease etc..

I also used engine block 1200 paint, not for the heat but for the color since they didn't have the darker blue in caliper paint. But I also used some cheap chrome paint for the bracket and it has held up just as well...500 should be fine.
