Wow, awesome work!! Really resembles Lavelle's work! Where did you learn how to do this, and what tools and supplies are required to start learning?

Well i have been trained on how to do paint and body work on cars. Knowing that kind of stuff is key to starting. I have always been interested in lavallee's work and have studied his flames. I decided that i would get an airbrush and the paint required to paint the flames and give it a go. Besides studying his style and others style I knew what looked good and what didnt and tried to use that in my own work. I have been drawing and painting in advanced art classes through high school so art comes second nature to me. If you are intersted you should give it a shot and see what you come up with.

How much to do that on my black helmet that I wear when I race? That looks sick man. Excellent work.

Instead of doing something like this to your T/A: https://ls1tech.com/BristolBash03/pages/DSC02209.htm

Just make it more subtle. Do some nice stripes on top of the WS6 hood, all the way up the hood, in those flames. Then do a matching pair of stripes on top of the rear spoiler. That would be nice and subtle, and look awesome.

Stripes in this form (without the checkers of course) http://www.3rdgendecals.com/CustomerPics/MarkH06.jpg

YES! Thats the idea I was talking about. Then do two stripes on top of the spoiler to complete the look.

I'd love to get into doing this, I'd for sure put that on my car, that is very very tight. What would someone charge for something like that, and what kind of time would it take?

You could even make them go farther back, and be like a true racing stripe with more defined edges, just with the inside done as flames. Kinda like the Camaro on Overhaulin from a while ago, but whatever you do I am sure will look awsome
