Need some TA tonneau pics and some info
I just looked at a tonneau cover for my 2000 TA on RKSport's site, and was trying to figure the total funds I'll need. They want over 300 bucks just to ship it... it almost doubles the price of the tonneau when you add the shipping charge. Does anyone know of a place I can get a better price for the shipping from, or is that going to be a pretty much standard rate? I've never ordered anything of that size before, so I have nothing to use as a reference for the cost. If that's a fair shipping price, let me know. Also, if anyone has pics of their tonneau set up they'd like to share, I'd love to take a look! I'm about to start accessorizing my ride and want some ideas... Thanks!

Yeah that's it... I like the roadster look... I never use the back seats for anything, and with summer coming up it will make my car stand out even more... I know some people may not like the look, but it's like the boot for the top, it can come off when I want to put the top up. Anyway, does anyone know a dealer besides RKSport that handles them?

there was an article in 02 i believe about the cars called "birds of prey." they were customed, there was a coupe and a vert. they had the windshield sloped a lil more, the verts had the windows shaved, lowered, and a tonneau. if you run a search on google or soemthing and see who made that...they might deal it, i dunno, just tryin to help.

My $.02, they look great on the verts. Should have been a factory or SLP option.
On the Birds, especially a black one, it makes the thing look like the damned Batmobile.
The only thing I wish, was that they had a one piece and a waterfall (center section) like the vettes The 2 piece design is for storage, bbut I can dream can't I? (lol)
Good luck. I'm sure it's gonna stand out just fine Get some pics up when you get it.

That Bird of Prey you are referring to was 2 prototypes that Latrell Sprewell's custom company designed. They were concepts. They front and side glass was shaved down 6 inches and an entirely new one piece spoiler/tonneau molded, turning it into a permanent 2 seater. There was also some body mods done to the nose and sides. For those who didn't like the extreme measures taken, they produce a "sister" coupe. That was where I got the tonneau idea to begin with. I really like the clean look of it. The problem with Sprewell's version is hom much they changed it... it was no longer a vert, it became a chop top for all intent. With a one piece spoiler/tonneau, raising the top if it starts to rain is a problem. Being in Louisiana, the weather shifts every 10 minutes, so I have to be a little more flexible with my abiliity to go top up or top down.
