i just cut the hose that goes from the charcoal canister to the hardline right before the hardline and took everything from the engine bay out. now all that is left is to pull the hardline and put some sort of foam or filter on the line from the charcoal canister so nothing makes its way up in there. i cant smell any fumes and it cleans the engine bay nicely. anybody thats worried about the fumes, just disconnect the line from the canister to the hardline and leave it off for a few days and try to notice a difference, if not, go ahead and pull everything else.

I haven't done it yet but I was thinking of putting a resistor on the EVAP connector to make the PCM think the solenoid was attached. That would stop the SES I think. I measured about 20 ohms - time to head to Radio Shack. Does anyone know what the EVAP really does, besides sit there and look ugly?

For all you guys with SES lights that dont want to have them tuned out yet. Take the gauge cluster out and put a piece of black electrical tape between the gauge front and the light itself. Instant NO SES light and it costs nothing and takes 30min.

Don't ask me how I know...

if i keep my solenoid connected up top (its covered by a fuel rail cover anyways) can i just plug up the metal line or does it need to breathe with a filter or something?

EVAP just recirculates tank vapors. just an emission device to eliminate tank vapors
