Yep, let's give some useful knowledge by beating a dead horse. He's asking for pics of aftermarket steering wheels. He's not asking for people's ******* opinions on saftey or their life stories. So why don't we just ******* quit this ****.

Anyone have pics of a removeable steering wheel kit? Do they make them for 02 f-bodies? My buddy always joked that he would get one of them so he would never have to worry about the car being stolen.

None that was asked for. BTW, I'm also interested in PICS of aftermarket steering wheels.

And I'd like to see some, rather than sift through your preaching.

Muscle, how much was that Grant wheel? That thing is mint. Nice quality, clean and simple.

Yes they do make a kit. Its a universal kit that can be used on our cars. I will be using one on my car.

I think it was like $220 from Jeg's with the 3196 kit.

If I see any more responses in this thread about safety and airbags, some of you guys will earn a couple weeks off. This is ridiculous guys. The thead is about aftermarket steering wheels, not lectures on safety. Some showcars never see the street, some racecars never see the street either. Doing these mods is at the owner's own risk, so STFU about if it is right or wrong to change out the steering wheels.

Back on subject now.

Here is a pic of the leather wrapped Grant I put in my '69:

That's the 'vert right? When do the big plans for that car go into affect?

I like both of those Grant wheels. I like the Sparco wheel my buddy has in his 325iX, but it's too much $$$. I think he payed something like $400 for it, plus all the other miscellaneous mounting items.

$2XX sounds a lot more reasonable.

I ordered that Grant one from Jegs, it wasn't too expensive. I think $130-ish? Yes, that is my convertible. Right now, I'm still gathering parts and planning on what to do with it, so it is still in one piece and drivable until then. Probably start working on it this summer, after the drag car is completed.

I need a new steering wheel for the drag car too, so I'm watching this thread

Hey Mike, do you know why those chain steering wheels are so small? Makes them easier to drive with handcuffs on

I always figured it was that or because it was easier to fit Rosita's pregnant tummy under the wheel.

LOL, nice chain link wheel. Straight up Cheech and Chong.

I almost bought one on Ebay for my '89 Cadillac Brougham, it was only $20 bucks.

Yeah, "butterfly" wheels are illegal. Mine is called a "gullwing steering wheel". I've been pulled over probably 3 times with this wheel, and no one has said anything. 1 Ohio State Trooper, 2 County Sheriffs. Didn't even mention that is has to be a minimum of 13" round. And it really is fun to drive.

I just figured id say that GM Muscle's camaro, if it wasnt a stripper and was six speed, as it sits mod wise, is one of my dream cars. I love what youve done to it, the INT set up is absolutly awsome, and its fast too

Thanks, it's a factory stripper with no power options. It was under alittle reconstruction in the pic above and I do normally run a full interior, I should have mentioned that with the pic.
