thats know as the collectors edition rear valance. you can either paint it (check out stangkilr) or you can order it already painted the right color from gm. as far as tips go i prefer my gmmg stainless oval tips but i also like the look of the megs dual tips

Just sand it down really good, and tape it off, and use paint yourself..It looks good and is really easy. You can find the car paint at like autozone or advance...Heres a link to what my friend did...http://mofbody.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=18402

I think a gunmetal or charcoal grey would look good on an SOM.

What about on a NBM? Silver?

I have a black car, but I have seen the charcoal and really did not like it on a black car, so I think I will go with a satin or semi flat black.

with an already black car going to a lighter color looks stupid. but having the bottom a darker color than the main color looks real nice.

I'd use paper from a auto paint supply store. It holds up better than the walmart crap. Wet sand it, dont do it dry. I wouldn't get too wild with the grit either. If you get down in to the plastic it can fuss up and look like ***... and make it a bitch to paint if you ever want to go back to a bc/cc finish.

That would only work if the body of your car was already the CETA yellow.
