Default Bird Crap.

Some birds got my car today while I was at work and it was hot enough that it looks as if it has burned through the clear coat on my black car. Does anyone know of a way to try and remove the stain? I'm going to try my way with PC and nice amount of 3M Perfect It II. If anyone else has any other ideas short of a new paint job, please let me know...this is a desperate hour.

When I worked in Indy ata dealership I saw that all the time. The only hope is a good wet sand, but on the bad cars it was hopeless.

Clay bar ain't gonna help unless it's just not coming off. If it looks like a bleach stain, you're SOL. Medium cut polish is your only hope, (worked on my car for the ones i got, but not for the ones that were on there from the previous owner).

I doubt it went through the clear coat so its fixable. Very light wet sanding should do her, or maybe a polish like Razzak said.

Yeah, I had it in the car too, but by the time I got off work and could get it off, it was too late. Its unfortunate, really.

Anyways, thanks for the advice guys, I'll follow this up with whatever happens and let you know...so maybe if its ever searched there is a possible solution.

Tried to buff it out with a PC and some 3M...I got most of it out. Its still visible if you strain your eye....probably the only way to get it totally out it with a good wetsand.
Thanks for all the advice.

If you can try, don't park next to trees. Worst area to be under.

haha sorry about my short hand.
By PC I meant my PorterCable 7424 Buffer, although I'm positive any buffer will work. And the 3M is a company name. I used the 3M "Perfect It II" product to "hide" the marks. They are still there for sure, but you have to look incredibly hard to see it. All I did was use a nice soft foam pad, apply the 3M to the pad and go over the spots a few times until the 3M went from a while residue to more of an oily substance. I then removed it with a microfiber towel and called it quits. The car has a few coats of wax on it, and I think thats the only thing that has saved my paint to a certain extent. If anything is unclear, let me know. I can send pictures of the products I used and how I did it if you need any help. Good luck...
Ed
