Thumbs up Removed side moldings....

Wish I would have done this sooner. Really cleans up the side of the car, looks A LOT smoother, and everything runs together extremely well. SOrry for the huge pics.

Very nice! That was one of first things that I did as soon as I got my car. Makes it look so much more smoother.

Makes it look a lot nicer. That was one of the first things I did to my 94 T/A, haven't done it to the 99, yet.

Yea, I'd leave them on. I think they look good. Unless you're going for the sleeper look.

Shane, looks like you finally finished taking off the glue and crap, huh? How late did you stay last night doing that? BTW, looks sweet.
I think the T/A looks a little out of place after you have taken off the molding. I put one of mine on my tool box!

just make sure you have a little time on your hands and some fishing line. use the fishing line to cut the adhesive and then use what OneMeanZ did which was an eraser that attaches to the end of a die grinder, or use what I did which was my hands. Took a lot longer to clean mine up than it did his. Then just use some polish or I used goo gone, 3m hand glaze, then wax.

I know it looks nice, but

I couldn't bear myself to do it! I'd have to have somebody else do it with my back turned.

bboyferal, is your car a WS6? I was wondering, cause I have yet to see one that color. I had a friend that had a coupe that color but it was not a WS6. It also got repo'd.

Not to mention they only made 9 MRM verts, none were WS6's. In fact, I believe there were no MRM WS6 coupes either.

Wait, I got it. I had to look something up:
MRM builds: 867 (all models: T/A, vert, etc. but not one WS6)
MRM Convertible Trans Ams (non WS6) builds: 9
It's actually the rarest Firebird combination for 2002, second only to 11 TA verts in 2002 built w/ a white top.

A rare WS6? A Ram Air vert (any color ext.) w/ M6 and CAMEL LEATHER INT. They only produced 14 of these!

Sorry 'bout your friend's repo of an MRM TA. Jesus, I hope it's not the one I have now! I'm not the original owner...

Default Rare T/A's

Whats up? You guys were talking about rare cars... personally I wouldn't get to excited about a Maple Red Metallic being rare because they only made 9 of them or whatever, it's a low end model.. it's a Firebird, not even a T/A... anyways, my question is this, because I can't seem to find the statistics on this... but I purchased a 2002 T/A in April of 2002 off the showroom floor with Zero Miles on it and I know this car must be rare, because after 3 years of driving it, here in Minnesota, been to Wisconsin, and Texas and didn't see another car with the same set up as mine....

2002 Trans Am WS6 Convertible, Sunset Orange Metallic

and by the way...it's for sale

You can contact the Pontiac Historical Society (do a google) to find out the build numbers.

BTW, what do you mean a low-end model? All Trans Ams ARE Firebirds. Read my sig... I have a Trans Am. MRM was used in base Firebirds and Firebird Trans Am's... just not WS6's. Differences in WS6's and TA's don't exist for me, other than a hood. I've seen many of both running stock on the quarter and they pull the exact same times. An LS1 is an LS1 is an LS1...
