I have them for my drl's. I have the amber, but for them to work properly, you must buy an electronic flasher and ditch the old mechanical one. I get mad props for these and also, everyone likes the way that they blink.

921 is the 3rd brake light bulb I think.

I'd use red behind a red lense, like someone else said. To actually find out which is brighter you'd have to look at the LED specs as well. I looked, but no specs on those paticular bulbs. In general on their LED bulbs, the white is VERY slighter brighter than the red. Without a doubt get red. Also they are 5/16" longer than a stock bulb, but I believe will have clearance in the lense.
Those things aren't cheap (right click on the pic and go to properties to get the link). The owner of that place is a super nice guy to deal with. I'd like to see someone with these exact ones installed in their lights. I don't think they'll hot spot since they are all wide angle LEDs and have good locations. Some get some so we can see 'em! Take some before and after pics!

I have 4 of those bulbs if anyone wants em

They are the red ones, I dont feel like taking my tailight assembly apart again though, I was using them in an attempt at chrome/clear tailight mod (using pre98 tailights with the red lense removed) the bulbs looked great but the clear tailights didnt hahaha, so now i have them left over, and i put a sequential tailight module in and the LEDs dont blink well with it, its not as smooth as with incandescent bulbs, cause the bulbs have a "glow-up" and down time.. so they have a nicer transition for sequencing, otherwise, they are awesome, I would put them in the DRLs but they are red, id probably get pulled over..

they are beastly thats for damn sure, when i put them in the bird after i got stock honeycombs again, i had 2 on each side and then the bulb as the parking light
and it would go "BLINK____BLINK___glow..." so it didnt look very good, LEDs are instant on/instant off and thats what i mean by the transition.. the leds dont glow-up to max brightness, they just fire up instantly. so they didnt work well with my sequencing setup.. I dont have any pix of the brightness but im pretty sure these are the same exact ones as the pix earlier. if anything, i would get them for the instant on look and the added brightness if i didnt have sequencing lights...

The difference between brakelight and normal light was so little that it was hard to see if the car was braking or not...

Are they brighter than the stock amber DRLS?
How much was the electronic flasher?
Where did you purchase the electronic flasher?
Was it hard to install?
Sorry for all the questions. Its just that I always thought DRLS LEDS would look badass on a TRANSAM. Thanks Lamar.

a flasher shouldnt cost more than 10 bucks, although i forget how much, i am thinking its one of those 3.99$ parts at autozone...

its easy to install, its located under the dash, youll have to unscrew a few things to get the panel off (drive side) and feel around and ull find it. just have the blinker on while you look for it, you can find it by sound.

I believe it would be brighter than stock drls.. but im not sure...

I have a TAD more info on those LED's here;
https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearance-detailing/272702-found-cool-new-led-tailight-bulb.html

I still plan to whip up some custom LED tail lights.
This is my inspiration:
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/733654/1
and the pics below.

I'm going to get a pair of cheap 93-97 Firebird lenses and then run a straight row of LEDs on each side at full brightness to act as running lights. Then another row above and below it at full brightness for the stop lamps. The increase in number of LED as well as the increased area that lights up should make the difference between the 2 very noticable. There will be a row of LEDs in the 3rd brake light as well. I think that should get the job done.

I'll paint the housing black to match my car and fade into a smoked area around the LEDs. I'l be counting on the brightness of the LED's to overcome the tint while making the rear look all black during the day.

The Firebird lights also have the reflector elements built into the red center portion of the lens so I shouldn't need to add an extra reflector.

That was my problem with the LED Tail/Turn/Brake lights on my T-Bird. But those came from AutoZone. I was hoping that if I got some from http://www.autolumination.com with more LEDs per bulb, they may work better.

I think you could use, at the least, the 32LED matrix 3157 bulbs and will give equal lighting as the stock bulbs. I know they'll be WAY better than the AZ ones for sure!

I have a set of white ones coming for my reverse lights (in my quest to get rid of all regular bulbs). I plan on testing them in the front turn signals to see how well they look (aka not like spot lights) and maybe order some yellow ones for the fronts if they work good.
