Newspaper and a mix of white vinegar and distilled water has always done the trick for me.

Get some descale-it or some other shower scum remover. It's always worked well for me.

If the white vinegar and distilled water does'nt work. Try using some 0000 grade steel wool.

rubbing compound will take them off but you have to be very careful if you are using a high speed buffer because it will scratch the glass severely if not done properly

Any glass polish should work. Just takes a little elbow grease. I've also used the newspaper and white vinegar/water mix. Both work fine. I couldn't ever bring myself to use the steel wool idea... I know many have used it with no problem, but I'd hate to be one of the few who ended up with scratches.

Always makes me antsy. Ive seen my old man do it about 20 times on his cars with no problems. He uses sos and windex though.

I have the same problem. I've had bad water spots on my back window and Ts since I bought my car and they WILL NOT come off. I've tried alcohol, mineral spirits, the Zaino glass polish, and I just tried the vinegar thing. None of them work. It's depressing.
