halo install quetion?
halo install quetion? hey guys in the middle of my halo install but im feeling lazy and planning on wiring them to my fogs, so they turn on when my fogs turn on. how would I go about this? would i just wire the red one from the halo into the red wire that goes into the fogs and the white one from the halo that goes goes into the oppsite one of the fog?ima total newb to this so your help would be appreciated.thanks
Just wrapped that install yesterday. Very easy. I used a wire tap on the purple fog light wire. Off of the wire tap I have a red wire with a female connector crimped on at the end. I then added a male connector to the end of my red halo wire and plugged them together. From the white wire (ground) of the halos, I crimped a ring connector on. Removed the bolt holding a black ground wire from the radiator support and slid the connector on and put the bolt back in. Repeat for the other side.
To disable your auto headlights, remove the passenger side a-pillar by removing the two screws where the passanger t-top latches. Lift up gently on the dash until the auto headlight photosensor is visible (It's the black cylinder located next the RED anti-theft light). Just snip the two wires leading to the sensor and and connect them together to complete the circuit.
Sorry, don't have any pics. If I remember, I'll take some tomorrow and post up. Once you start into the project you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.
