Default Please Help With Projector Headlights!!!!!!

Hi, I have a 98 Camaro, and I cant figure out how to hook up the Halo's to work. I want them to turn on when I turn on my foglights. The problem is, I know nothing about wiring, or anything. Please someone tell me what to hook the red wire up to, and the white wire. Im retarded when it comes to wiring. So, if someone could help me hook these up, I would greatly, greatly appreciate it. Thanks!!!!

How many wires are on each halo? You said there was a red and white. Is there a black or something?

Well, the wires running from the Halo are : Red and White. But the instructions say connect the black line to the negative electrode. And connect the red to the positive electrode. There is no black, so I assume they mean white from the Halo. What color is the positive/negative wires? I want to hook it up to my foglights, so when I turn the dial, the foglights and Halo will come on. So, what color is the positive and the negative running to the foglights, and do I just cut the plastic casing and attatch it to the actual wire? You can tell I know nothing about wires or electronics.

If there are 3 wires, the red one should be the power(+), the other color(if black) should be the ground(-), and the white should be to the fog light wire. Having the + and - connected will give the halos constant power but tapping into the fog light wire will cause the halo only to come on when the fog lights are on. If I were you, I would tie the white wire to the interior. I know which wire will work best with this. If you pull off the AC vent on the drivers side and take out the headlight switch (just 2 hex bolts) you will see a bunch of wires on the back of it. The one you will want to tap into is the gray wire. DO NOT cut the gray wire, simply strip a small section and tie the white wire to it then tape it with electrical tape. This will allow you to turn your fog lights on at the headlight switch causing your dash lights to come. This also allows you to turn off your fog lights at the fog light switch leaving the dash lights on and your yellow bumper lights on without the halos turning off. IMO the halos look best when just the yellow lights are on. Hope this helps.

In that case, connect the white to a ground in your engine bay and run the red wire to the gray wire I mentioned. This should work. If it doesn't, I'll try to watch this thread and help you out.

There are only 2 wires running from the Halo. Now, if I hook them up the the wires running into the foglight, they will only turn the dial for my foglights, and thats fine with me. Can't I attach the wires that run directly into the foglight? Do I have to remove the AC vent? I mean, I just want to attach these 2 wires, Red and White, to the foglights. Thats it. Stupid ebay says "plug and play" BS on that lol. I think there is blue and brown wires running to the fog lights. WHich is positive, which is negative? Then all I have to do is cut the casing a little, and attach them, wrap in electrical tape right?

the wires running from the Halo are like 5 inches long. So they cant go to far. What color should I hook the Red (positive) wire into? And what color should I hook the White (negative) wire into?

dude all you have to do is simply ground the two white wires one on each side to the frame part where the other wires are grounded from the factory, then you just get some wire and connect the two reds and run a wire up and through your drivers side fire wall and find the foglight wire and splice it together. very simple and easy, i did it without the instructions and it was cake work but i ran it to a independent switch to fill the one were ABS should be.
