I did my first actual non-practice project today. Just thought I'd share. Sorry if you guys are sick of this stuff. (I'm such a pyro!)

I think the flames look really nice, I just think there needs to be something setting off the Covette lettering and raised lines with the 5.7 emblem. fThey're a little to hard to see right now I think. But still very nice.

I dont mean to be an a** or anything, its a nice job... The paintjob/pre-job underneith the flames is kinda catching my eye, may just be the light or something reflecting, not sure... I really like the flames though Good work.

Well, the guy I was doing this for did the pre- paint himself before he shipped them to me. Also the lighting is most definately affecting it since it is under yellowish 40W lighting.

Thanks guys. After some thought, I think I am going to go ahead and ghost the CORVETTE and 5.7L lettering. I didn't originally because I thought it may take away from the flames, but now I think it would probably compliment them.

Brian2006- I only charged the guy for materials. I'm making no money at it currently.

Well I decided to go ahead and spray the lettering. It took longer than I expected and I had some very good learning experiences in the process (I almost thought I was going to have to redo them from scratch at one point ) But it ended up turning out pretty good. So here are the final pics:

Looks good chad , corvette letters look better with the red and not so much more like it was an afterthought like it was without the color. Are you shooting your own clear? What clear and gun are you using to shoot?

Speaking of "afterthought", this is getting just a little close to stepping on a sponsor's toes here. Afterthoughts Auto makes custom fuel rail covers so hopefully this is not fishing for business. Not accussing, just making an observation.

this is not competition for sponsors. These are not the same custom job sponsors do. They color them and such, but this is just plain sick! We have some serious airbrush artists here on tech, and I think they are doing a great thing by providing these services to members without the "***-raping" a shop would charge someone.

Keep up the great work guys! I may contact you soon!
